Yes; handling operations are subject to the permission of the customs administration. We run the application and correspondence together with your customs broker, and identify in advance which items require permission.

Yes; we do it with our own team and our own equipment. Unloading cargo arriving by sea, sorting it and transferring it to road transport is all completed at the same facility.

No; manufacturing operations that change the nature of the goods are not possible under the warehousing procedure. The permitted operations are handling operations that do not change the nature of the goods.

You can; sampling is one of the permitted handling operations. It is carried out with customs permission and the quantity taken is deducted from the stock record.

We can; sorting is among the permitted handling operations. The consignment is separated by buyer, each part is labelled separately and entered in the stock record as a separate item.

We do; labelling and repacking are among the permitted operations. If the destination country requires a particular labelling scheme, it can be completed here before despatch.

We do; weighing, counting and measurement reports are drawn up and shared with you and your customs broker. These reports are used directly in the declaration process.

Because handling is an operation we carry out, the responsibility is ours; such damage is assessed under the warehouse insurance. Before signing, always ask whether the policy covers handling damage.
