By stock accuracy: the difference between the quantity found in a count and the quantity in the records must be zero. In a warehouse, quality is the accuracy of the record and the conditions rather than of the product itself — the goods must leave in the state in which they arrived.

Surface protection is the basis: steel coil and galvanised material are stacked so as to be protected from moisture, and pre-painted sheet from friction and impact. Stacking heights are limited according to the type of product.

Stacking heights are limited, forklift traffic is separated from pedestrian routes and the team receives regular training. Handling heavy loads is one of the activities with the highest accident risk; steel coils, billets and bundles of sections carry a risk of toppling and crushing.

Regularly, and every count is recorded in a report. Beyond that, an interim count can be carried out on request; we share the result together with the records.

Yes: reducing waste at source, recovering packaging material and monitoring the energy consumption of handling equipment. Steel is a highly recyclable material, and making sure nothing is lost at the storage stage of that cycle is our responsibility.

The situation is established in a written report and the insurance process is started. Because the condition of the packaging is photographed on entry, whether the damage occurred before or after the goods entered the warehouse does not remain open to dispute.

There is a fire suppression system, lighting and perimeter security. The regulations also require flammable and combustible materials to be stored only in warehouses with special arrangements in place for them; if you have such a load, ask for the certificate for that arrangement first.
