We Handle Bonded Storage From Start to Finish

Warehouse operators usually only store; steel traders usually outsource storage. Kral Antrepo brings the two together: at our facility in Dörtyol we hold your goods under customs supervision and, from the same site, sell 15 steel product lines from our own stock — from flat products to rebar.

In practice this means that when you have a question about steel, you are not talking to a warehouse clerk but to a trading team that knows the grade, the standard and the market. Knowing which mill certificate a coil arrived with, how it must be shielded from humidity and which stacking method suits it is a different service from ordinary storage.

  • 1,400 m² of covered space under customs supervision
  • Warehousing and steel trading from a single contact

Situations We Hear From You Often

We Hear These a Lot — Here Is Our Answer

The following are the questions that come up most often in real conversations. If yours is not on the list, write to us and we will give you a clear answer based on the type of your cargo.

Duty and cash flow

My container has arrived at the port, but my buyer will not pay for three months.

We take the goods into the bonded warehouse. Customs duty and VAT do not arise until the goods leave the warehouse, and there is no time limit on storage. You no longer have to build your sales calendar around the customs calendar.

Bonded warehouse services
Partial withdrawal

I want to withdraw only what I have sold, not the whole consignment.

Partial withdrawal from the warehouse is possible. Duty arises only on the quantity you actually withdraw; the remainder stays in the warehouse.

Customs procedures consultancy
Transit and transhipment

I want to send the cargo on to Iraq without importing it into Türkiye.

Under the transit procedure the goods are held in the warehouse, transhipped and re-exported without ever entering free circulation. Dörtyol sits on the Gulf of İskenderun, close to the land border gates.

Transit trade and transhipment
Cargo handling

The container arrived mixed; I need to sort, label and repack it.

These are handling operations permitted inside a bonded warehouse: sorting, labelling, repacking and sampling. They are carried out with customs permission, as long as the nature of the goods does not change.

Cargo handling, loading and unloading
Stock visibility

I do not want to phone every time to ask how much of my stock is left.

We keep an inbound, outbound and remaining-quantity record for every item, and you can see your stock online around the clock.

Stock management and online tracking
Protection and insurance

Could my steel coils be damaged by moisture or by incorrect stacking?

Stacking is done clear of the floor inside 1,400 m² of covered space, handled by a team that knows how steel has to be protected. There is all-risk warehouse insurance, a fire suppression system and 24/7 cameras.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most Asked About Warehousing

What is a bonded warehouse?

A bonded warehouse is a place where imported goods are stored under customs supervision without customs duties being paid. While the goods are in the warehouse they are not in free circulation; the duty liability arises only when they are withdrawn and an import declaration is lodged. This lets an importer who cannot sell immediately hold stock without tying up capital in duty.

What is the difference between a bonded warehouse and an ordinary warehouse?

The core difference is customs supervision: goods entering a bonded warehouse are treated as not yet taxed and cannot leave without customs permission, whereas an ordinary warehouse holds goods that are already duty-paid and in free circulation. A bonded warehouse is subject to seals, records and declarations; an ordinary warehouse is not.

How long can goods stay in a bonded warehouse?

There is no time limit on how long goods may remain under the warehousing procedure. However, once a declaration is registered assigning the goods to another customs procedure, the formalities must be completed within 30 days. The customs administration may set a specific limit for goods liable to deteriorate (Turkish Customs Regulation, Art. 389).

Do I have to withdraw the whole consignment at once?

No — partial withdrawal is permitted. You take out only the quantity you have sold or need for production and pay duty on that part alone, while the remainder stays in the warehouse. For high-tonnage steel shipments this is one of the most significant cash-flow advantages of the procedure.

Can goods be handled or worked on inside the warehouse?

Handling operations that do not alter the nature of the goods are permitted. Sorting, weighing, labelling, repacking, sampling and quality control all fall within this scope and require customs authorisation. Manufacturing operations that change the nature of the goods cannot be carried out under the warehousing procedure.

Can flammable goods be stored in a bonded warehouse?

Flammable and combustible goods may only be stored in general or private warehouses fitted with a dedicated fire protection and suppression system. A standard warehouse cannot accept such goods. When selecting a warehouse for dangerous goods, always ask to see the fire system documentation.

Where is Kral Antrepo located and which region does it serve?

Kral Antrepo operates from a 1,400 m² covered facility on Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard in Özerli, Dörtyol, Hatay Province, Türkiye. The site sits inside the İskenderun Gulf iron-and-steel belt, a short haul from İskenderun Port, the region's rolling mills and the land gates towards Syria and Iraq.

Can I buy steel products as well as use the warehouse?

Yes. Alongside warehouse operations Kral Antrepo trades steel, supplying 15 product lines from its own stock — from galvanised and prepainted coil to hollow sections, pipe, flat bar, angle and rebar. Because storage and supply run through a single contact, shipment planning is simpler.
