About Kral Antrepo and Steel Trading

We are a family business in Dörtyol, Hatay running bonded warehousing and steel trading under one roof.

Kral Antrepo ve Metal Ticaret is a family business in Dörtyol, Hatay, that runs bonded warehouse operations and steel trading under one roof. From a 1,400 m² covered facility, with a team of more than thirty, we manage the whole cycle from the moment goods enter the warehouse to the day they leave.

Where we came from

The founders come from the iron and steel trade. The idea of bringing years of accumulated experience together under a new brand grew out of a simple wish: to build a company that does not merely buy and sell the product but also knows how to keep it. In steel, losses usually happen not at the point of sale but during the wait — a coil rusting in damp air, a badly stacked bundle of sections, a consignment whose records were never kept properly.

That is why Kral Antrepo was set up to treat trading and storage not as two separate jobs but as two sides of the same one. When goods arrive at our warehouse we know not only where they sit, but what they are.

What being in Dörtyol means

The Gulf of İskenderun is where a substantial share of Türkiye's crude steel is produced. Dörtyol sits in the middle of that belt, a short haul from İskenderun Port, from the region's rolling mills and from the land gates towards Syria and Iraq.

For a customer this translates directly into haulage cost. The shorter the run from the port or the mill to the warehouse, the lower the total cost. Even where an Istanbul or Kocaeli warehouse quotes a cheaper storage rate, inland haulage on regional shipments usually takes that saving straight back.

How we work

Every customer is given a single point of contact. From intake and stock counts to correspondence with your customs broker and the despatch plan, you speak to the same person throughout. Stock movements are recorded and can be viewed online at any time.

  • Intake: goods weighed, counted and packaging photographed
  • Placement: racking, pallet or floor stacking by type
  • Records: every movement entered in the stock ledger
  • Release: after declaration and customs permission — partial is possible

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About This Page

When was Kral Antrepo founded?

Kral Antrepo ve Metal Ticaret was founded in 2015. It operates from a facility with 1,400 m² of covered space in Dörtyol, Hatay, with more than thirty employees; the founders come from the iron and steel sector.

What is the benefit to the customer of running warehousing and steel trading together?

You work with an operator who knows how the goods have to be kept. Most warehouse operators only store, and most steel traders buy storage in from outside; when the two are done together, how a steel coil is protected from moisture and a bundle of sections from impact stops being a matter of separate instructions.

How does being in Dörtyol affect transport cost?

Total cost falls because the distance from the port or the rolling mill to the warehouse is shorter. Dörtyol sits in the middle of the İskenderun Gulf iron and steel belt, close to İskenderun Port, the regional rolling mills and the Syrian and Iraqi land border gates. Even where storage looks cheaper at a warehouse based in İstanbul or Kocaeli, road haulage on shipments from this region usually takes that difference back.

How large is the team you work with?

More than thirty people. The team works in four areas — warehouse operations, cargo handling, stock records and customer correspondence — and a single point of contact is assigned to each customer.

Do you give each customer a dedicated contact?

Yes; from warehouse entry to stock counts, from correspondence with your customs broker to the shipment plan, you speak to the same person. We set it up this way because information getting lost as it passes from one person to another is the most common problem.

How do you work with customers abroad?

In four languages: Turkish, English, Arabic and German. Correspondence, document flow and stock reporting run in the customer's language, which is why enquiries from Syria, Iraq and the Gulf states can proceed without waiting for a translator.

Can I visit the facility?

Yes; you can make an appointment and see the warehouse in person. We would rather you judged the stacking layout, the aisle widths and the security measures with your own eyes than from a photograph.

What does being a family business mean for the customer?

A short decision chain. There is no head office to wait on for approval of a price, a deadline or an exceptional request; the person who takes responsibility is also the person who decides.
